Linkbox ("the app", "we", "our") is a local-first Android app for saving and organizing links. This page explains what data the app collects, how it's used, and your choices.
Linkbox has no backend server and no user accounts. We never see, collect, or store:
All of this data lives exclusively in a local database on your device. Export and import happen entirely through Android's own file picker — the file never passes through any server we control.
Linkbox displays banner and interstitial ads through Google AdMob to support free use of the app. AdMob may collect and process the following on our behalf:
This data is collected and processed by Google in accordance with the Google Privacy Policy and, where applicable, the Google EU User Consent Policy. You can review or reset your advertising ID, or opt out of personalized ads, in your device's Settings → Privacy → Ads.
Linkbox does not request access to your contacts, camera, microphone, location, or storage beyond the file picker used for backups.
Linkbox is not directed at children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect information from children. If you believe a child has provided information through the app, please contact us using the details below so we can address it.
Since your data is stored only on your device, you are always in full control of it. Deleting the app, or clearing its data from Android Settings, permanently removes everything Linkbox has stored, including your saved links and preferences.
We may update this policy from time to time to reflect changes in the app or in applicable law. The "Last updated" date at the top of this page will reflect the most recent revision. Since the app links directly to this page, you'll always see the current version — no app update is required for policy changes to take effect.
